D’Flora was created from the dreams and prayers of an extraordinary woman — simple in the eyes of many, yet filled with courage, tears, hard work, and perseverance. In 2023, that dream began to take shape with the creation of D’Flora Glamping and D’Flora Homestay — the foundation of what would become D’Flora Accommodation. More than just a place to stay, it is a home for everyone who arrives in Labuan Bajo — the gateway to the little piece of heaven God placed on Earth.

Inspired by over 17 years of experience as a traveler and landscape photographer — working in various places and companies, and journeying across more than 40 countries — the founder felt a calling to return to her homeland in Flores.
Seeing the remarkable potential of the region, she was moved to create a place of welcome: an accommodation where people could come to experience this little piece of paradise.
Thus, the idea of D’Flora was created— a second home for every traveler, where guests are welcomed not just as visitors, but as friends or family, and can truly feel the warmth of local traditions and hospitality.

D’Flora Travel Agency was formed as a natural continuation of the journey that began with D’Flora Accommodation, which had stood for two years prior.
Starting as a simple place to rest, D’Flora gradually grew into something more than just a place to stay. Over those two years, we welcomed guests from many different backgrounds, countries, and life stories. In the process, we didn’t just provide a comfortable bed — we helped them find transportation, build custom itineraries, book sailing trips, or simply recommended the best spots to eat or watch the sunset. We did it all sincerely, as if we were helping a friend or family member.

From these experiences, we realized something important: guests need more than accommodation — they need a trusted local friend, someone who knows the land, who understands how to create a journey that’s safe, comfortable, and memorable. And so, D’Flora Travel Agency was born — not just a travel agent, but an extension of the warmth and heart that has been with us since day one.

We design every trip with care and attention, listening to the needs of each guest and offering authentic experiences that showcase the natural beauty and rich culture of Flores and Labuan Bajo. The road hasn’t always been easy — we’ve faced operational challenges, unpredictable weather, and the ever-changing rhythm of the tourism world — but our spirit remains strong. Because we believe every guest comes with a hope for a meaningful journey, and we want to be part of that beautiful story.
